Who we are and how to reach us

ChoiceCode is a coupon directory and shopping-information website at choicecode.net. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to the people operating ChoiceCode. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

Information involved in your visit

• Browsing requests. Loading a page sends information such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time to the services delivering the website. Our hosting services may process request or security logs to deliver pages, diagnose problems and prevent abuse.
• Searches and filters. Search words and selected filters appear in the page URL and are sent to the website to return results. They may also appear in browser history or hosting logs. Please do not put passwords, payment details or other sensitive personal information into a search.
• Copying a coupon. When you activate a copy control, the website asks your browser to write that coupon code to your clipboard. It does not read your existing clipboard contents. If copying is unavailable, you can select the code and copy it yourself.
• Messages you send. If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any information or attachments you choose to include. Our email service also processes the message to deliver and store it.

The current website does not offer visitor accounts, accept payments, run a newsletter signup or ask you to submit coupons. Its browsing and copying features do not add analytics or advertising scripts, first-party cookies, or persistent local or session storage. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

Why information is used

We use the information needed to provide pages and search results, operate and protect the website, investigate technical issues, respond to messages, review reported listing errors and address privacy requests. A message about an offer is used to understand that report; it does not subscribe you to a mailing list.

Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, the relevant purposes may include our legitimate interests in running and securing the website and responding to inquiries, or meeting a legal obligation. If a future feature requires consent, we will explain that purpose and request consent where required before using it.

Service providers and external websites

Hosting, security and email providers may handle information needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect rights or respond to a lawful request.

Some store logos load directly from an external image provider. That provider receives the connection and image-request information necessary to deliver the image, including your IP address. These image requests are configured not to send the page address as a referrer.

Following a merchant or other external link takes you to a separate website. That destination may collect information, set cookies or use referral information under its own policies. ChoiceCode does not receive your payment details or order information through a checkout on this website. Review the destination’s privacy notice before providing personal information.

Service providers or destinations may process information outside your country. Protections can differ between locations. You can contact us for information about the handling of a specific request; applicable transfer requirements still apply.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence and information under our control only for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, follow up on a report, maintain security or meet a legal requirement. The purpose, sensitivity of the information and any unresolved issue determine the appropriate period. Hosting and email services may retain operational records under their own applicable arrangements.

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website, email service or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Please do not email passwords, full payment-card numbers or unnecessary identity documents.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse without creating an account and choose whether to send us a message. Your browser lets you manage cookies, site storage, history and clipboard permissions. Settings for a merchant’s website must be managed separately.

Depending on the law that applies and the information involved, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, or receive a portable copy. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. You may also be able to complain to your local data-protection authority.

We will explain any applicable limitation, such as a legal retention duty or an inability to identify browsing records without additional information.

Children and policy changes

ChoiceCode is a general-audience shopping-information website and is not directed at children. We do not ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information that should be removed, please contact us.
